Christian Growth

Do you want to grow as a Christian? Have you considered the importance of the role of Scripture in that growth? Consider Peter’s words:

“Like newborn infants, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation.” (1 Pet. 2:2)

Here is a worthwhile thought in the same vein.

“‘The Christian who wants to encounter God without listening to what he has to say,’ Richard Lovelace writes, ‘may remain in the condition of a smiling sub-literate and disobedient two-year old. Sanctification of the mind is of pivotal importance in sanctification of the whole life, and sanctification of the mind involves an increasing ability to think biblically under the empowering of the Spirit.’” Gordon R. Lewis & Bruce A. Demarest, Integrative Theology, Vol. 1, Grand Rapids: Zondervan, 1996 p. 167.
